NBA Bounce

I did not know what to expect from NBA Bounce. Mainly because the PR and Marketing people for Outright Games completely failed us at Family Friendly Gaming. I have if you do not offer to be their slave labor they do not do much for you. I call NBA Bounce mini NBA Jam. There is a real NBA Jam feel to NBA Bounce. There are three players per team in NBA Bounce. When I played NBA Jam on the 16-bit it was two on two.

We can swipe the ball away, swat away shots and more in NBA Bounce. I noticed that the boost goes away really fast. The boost also comes back pretty fast. So I would boost away from a defender, lay off the boost, and then boost into a giant slam dunk. I was able to win every game on the easiest game play setting while playing NBA Bounce. There are modes for one up to four family members with NBA Bounce.

The graphics are a bit on the small side. To unlock things we must do certain things. For example, I would unlock a mascot for playing and winning with a certain team. I played the tournament mode and unlocked more with multiple victories. I also unlocked items for making so many shots. I did not see where NBA Bounce told me what to do to get them. I guess families will need to experiment.

I found no stats on any of the teams when I played NBA Bounce. I easily breezed through the first team in the tournament. The second team in the tournament was much harder. The final team in the tournament was between the difficulty in the first game, and very easy in the last game. I am not really sure what was happening with the difficulty in NBA Bounce. I also accidently picked the wrong team in the first match of the tournament and had to stick with them the entire way.

I am very thankfully for everyone that jammed with me when I live streamed NBA Bounce. I hoped this game would have potential so I fast tracked it with the other sports games. NBA Bounce is a solid arcade basketball team with the current NBA teams. There can be fun and frustration with NBA Bounce. At times I would miss a slam dunk. When it happened four times in a row that got really annoying. There is a gauge that comes up when you shooting. Aim for the green section to make the shot.

Overall I enjoyed my time with NBA Bounce. The alley-oop slam works really well in NBA Bounce. I did get confused who had the ball in traffic at times while playing NBA Bounce. The comments from the announcers were good at times, and totally off base other times. I wonder if there will be more games in this franchise in the future? I also wonder if the PR and Marketing for this organization will ever recover.
