Instant Sports All-Stars
SCORE: 77
My experience with Instant Sports All-Stars on the Nintendo Switch
has been a rollercoaster ride. There have been ups, and there have been
downs. At the end of the day I see some good in Instant Sports All-Stars
for families. I will get into that in just a little bit. The modes in
Instant Sports All-Stars are Adventure, Quick Play, Shop, Character
Selection, Options, and Credits.
The character selection and creation leaves a lot to be desired in
Instant Sports All-Stars. I am not happy with my choices there. I could
not find any options for anyone that looked like me. The music is okay
and the graphics are meh. There are some light areas of violence within
Instant Sports All-Stars. Four family members can enjoy the twenty-four
activities in Instant Sports All-Stars. Some of the activities are
similar to one another.
There are twenty different collections of four games in the Adventure
Mode. Some of the mini games in Instant Sports All-Stars are hard to
figure out, control, and play. There are thankfully multiple control
schemes allowed in Instant Sports All-Stars. Others in Instant Sports
All-Stars are really easy to figure out, control, and play. This is
where the rollercoaster ride comes into play.
I breezed through some of the activities in Instant Sports All-Stars.
Others I struggled with in a mighty way. I am still not sure why I had
such problems. Or why I sat there waiting for the machine to throw me
another ball. The computer controlled characters were piling on the
scoring while I sat there and waited. Instant Sports All-Stars does not
do a good job of explaining that either.
There is some fun in Instant Sports All-Stars for families. I like a lot
of the activities in Instant Sports All-Stars. The more I played Instant
Sports All-Stars the better I got. We earn in game currency from playing
the games and can use that at the shop. Instant Sports All-Stars gives
families a reason to play it for a few weeks at least. Instant Sports
All-Stars is also not that expensive so it can be a value purchase.
