Immortal X-Men Vol 3
SCORE: 64
Long time readers know the drill. I was able to procure a couple of
free graphic novels on free comic book day at our local comic book shop.
Immortal X-Men Vol 3 happens to be one of those. Initially Immortal
X-Men Vol 3 was selling for $15.99. The local comic book shop even tried
to sell it for half the price. Then they put it in the FCBD free graphic
novels if you spent twenty dollars or more. One free graphic novel for
each twenty dollars you spent.
Spoilers are a part of this review. The issues families can have with
Immortal X-Men Vol 3 are lack of attire, enticement to lust, violence,
bad language, magic, false gods, blood, evolution and more. This volume
contains Immortal X-Men (2022) #11-13, X-Men Before the Fall Sinister
Four (2023) #1. This happens right after the Sinister timeline
storyline.
Immortal X-Men Vol 3 explains that four of the council members were
genetically changed by Sinister. There is no way of knowing if they are
further compromised in Immortal X-Men Vol 3. Sinister has been
imprisoned and they hope no longer a threat to anyone. Colossus is being
controlled by someone else and forces the full disclosure of what
happened to the rest of the world.
There are other Sinister like characters in Immortal X-Men Vol 3. We are
given a glimpse into their lives in Immortal X-Men Vol 3. The Council
has all kinds of infighting in Immortal X-Men Vol 3. The utopia is
falling apart in Immortal X-Men Vol 3. In fact near the end the Council
is disbanded. They are going the democracy route in the future. I have
not read any of that.
What I find interesting is the mutants think they are so much better
than humans. In reality they act just like them. The only difference is
they have power to destroy a great many people. On top of that the
mutants can be resurrected from the dead in Immortal X-Men Vol 3. I am
curious about some of the storylines before Immortal X-Men Vol 3. I may
try to read them if the price is right.
