House of David Season One

After watching The Chosen on Amazon Prime I noticed some other recommended television shows. House of David Season One was one of them. I decided to watch the eight episodes that made up House of David Season One. The episodes of House of David Season One last for between fifty-one and sixty minutes long. At the start of each episode there is a message that liberties were taken to make the story telling more interesting.

There is some amazing good within House of David Season One. There are also some things that I could see offending a wide array of families. There will be spoilers in my review of House of David Season One. There are some things that House of David Season One is a big vague on. The first few episodes obsesses over how David was illegitimate. Later in the season the father admits he married David's mother, but something about the marriage was done incorrectly. That does not fit into illegitimate in my book. Research I performed could find no factual basis for the radical belief that David was not a legitimate child. In fact Biblical scholars find he was legitimate.

House of David Season One starts and ends with David confronting Goliath. We then go back in time for the most of the season. King Saul was commanded to completely destroy the Amalekites and their possessions. King Saul kept the best of the flock to make burnt sacrifices and to give to the heads of the tribes. The leader of the Amalekites was also kept alive. Samuel shows up to find this. God has had it with Saul's disobedience. The blessings are taken and another will be anointed.

The issues families can have with House of David Season One are violence, blood, bad language, witchcraft, magic, lack of attire, enticement to lust, false gods, demon and more. Samuel goes to where God directs him. At the same time agents of King Saul are trying to find out who Samuel is going to - accusing him of treason. David gets anointed and we see him fight off a lion at one point. Advertisements played here and there while watching House of David Season One.

David is summoned to the court of King Saul to play music to sooth the king. At the same time David falls in love with Michal. A lot of House of David Season One shows King Saul being tormented. There is a son of King Saul that also causes him some problems. The law of Moses is invoked multiple times in House of David Season One. The acting in House of David Season One is fantastic. How the giants are brought in is also fascinating to me. In my research this review I found there is a physical copy version of this season.
