Fairy Tail Zero

It has been some time since I watched any of the Fairy Tail anime. I was also a bit confused as to how the series continued after the last volume. I now have that figured out. Fairy Tail Zero is the next part of the series. Fairy Tail Zero contains episodes two hundred and sixty-six through two hundred and seventy-seven. This picks up right after Fairy Tail Collection Eleven. There are two DVDs that make up Fairy Tail Zero.

There will be spoilers in my review of the Fairy Tail Zero television show. I was able to blow through this show really quickly. The issues families can have with Fairy Tail Zero are violence, magic, bad language, lack of attire, enticement to lust, nudity, false gods, and more. There are aspects of Fairy Tail Zero that are interesting, and ones that might bother some families. I will get more into that.

Fairy Tail Zero starts out with Natsu and Happy going on a quest to get stronger. They visit the grave of Mavis. From there we go back in time to learn all about Mavis and how she founded Fairy Tail as a guild. There are actually some emotional moments in Fairy Tail Zero. We meet Zera for example. She is a really good friend of Mavis from the island. We learn that Zera is actually an illusion created by Mavis.

Mavis met some good friends and they learn magic thanks to Zeref. We also learn a bit about Mavis and Zeref becoming friends in Fairy Tail Zero. The last Mavis related episode in Fairy Tail Zero tells us the history of the guild. I found this very interesting. There is a small problem though. The characters we know and love are not in Fairy Tail Zero for the most part. It feels like Fairy Tail even without them.

The last few episodes in Fairy Tail Zero see Natsu and Happy return. They run into Lucy at the Grand Magic Games. Lucy has taken the guild breaking up pretty hard. The very end of Fairy Tail Zero shows Natsu plans on bringing the guild back. Lucy had been tracking the other members of the guild. I am interested in what comes next for this show. I know there are multiple packages of the final season.
