Fairy Tail 2

I play a lot of role playing games. Some of them can take me months to get through when I am living streaming them. Part of that has to do with I may only be able to devote an hour to two a week to play a certain game. I beat Fairy Tail 2 in under twenty-two hours. I actually appreciate being able to get through a video game a bit faster than normal. Fairy Tail 2 has a mode where you focus on just the story.

I still had to fight the battles, but no grinding was required. I even lost in some boss battles and Fairy Tail 2 kept moving the storyline forward. I really like that for those of us that want to get through the video game content a bit faster. I live streamed Fairy Tail 2 from start to finish on our Twitch channel. Those live streams are being converted into videos for our video sites.

There will be spoilers in my review for the Fairy Tail 2 video game. I did not finish the anime or manga. The video games actually finish this off for me. By the way there is bonus content within Fairy Tail 2 as well. Zeref versus Natsu is the big thing in Fairy Tail 2. We also learn that Natsu is actually a demon from the book of E.N.D. That was a bit of a shock to me. If Natsu kills Zeref then he will die.

Fairy Tail 2 gets around the death of Zeref quite nicely. Lucy is able to rewrite the book of E.N.D. Natsu is also allowed to pick who he wants to be. He can be a demon, or a dragon. Natsu picks human. Thus the two eggs are removed. So Natsu becomes a human and drops the demon and dragon portions of his life. Natsu still uses fire magic. There are numerous characters from Fairy Tail to play with in this game.

The battles are interesting. We use normal attacks to fill a gauge. Then we use more powerful attacks. The extends the gauge and we can fill it up more. Why? To do more powerful attacks. Enemies have shields that must be broken. Then we can really go after them. There are also support characters that can be called into battle. They also must be charged and filled up to work. The battle system in Fairy Tail 2 is really fun.
