Eye Lie Popeye #5
SCORE: 70
The good news related to Eye Lie Popeye #5 is that this is the last
issue in this series. The bad news related to Eye Lie Popeye #5 is that
there may be another related series that comes in the future. It took
this company quite a bit of time to get these five issues released in
stores. I do not expect a new series to come anytime soon. Eye Lie
Popeye #5 cost me $4.99. There are thirty pages of comic book content
within Eye Lie Popeye #5.
The credits for Eye Lie Popeye #5 can be found on the back of the front
cover. There are a few advertisements near the end of the Eye Lie Popeye
#5 comic book. Spoiler alerts are in the rest of this review. The issues
families can have with Eye Lie Popeye #5 are violence, magic, lack of
attire, enticement to lust and more. The art in Eye Lie Popeye #5 is
fantastic. I really like how bright and colorful things are.
We learn who the bad guy is in Eye Lie Popeye #5. It is Ham Gravy. I had
to do some research on who Ham Gravy was over one hundred years ago. He
was in a comic book before Popeye. Ham Gravy was a slacker who went
after get rich quick schemes. He was also the original fiancée of Olive
Oyl. Popeye came along and was way more popular. So Ham lost his comic
book a bit later. He also lost Olive Oyl.
Ham Gravy gets what he wants from Sweet Pea in Eye Lie Popeye #5. Olive
Oyl becomes a witch in Eye Lie Popeye #5. She connects with an ancestor
through that new green eye she has. The Sea Had teaches olive Oyl how to
do magic in Eye Lie Popeye #5. They also learn where Popeye's power
comes from. The bad guy gets amazing luck thanks to that chicken related
to Sweet Pea. The bad guy leaves because he got what he needed. The Sea
Hag also got what she needed.
Olive Oyl knows some amazing secret about Popeye in Eye Lie Popeye #5.
She feels it will really hurt him if he learns it. So we do not know
what it is in this series. The bad guys also learn about Popeye and his
powers. Ham Gravy wants those powers for himself. I get the feeling
there will be another series if this one sold enough. The people behind
Eye Lie Popeye #5 want to give you something to keep paying them money
for.
