Elektra The Hand

Elektra The Hand is another graphic novel that Noah found at our local comic book store on the fifty percent off table. Elektra The Hand cost Noah $6.99. This graphic novel contains Elektra The Hand #1 through #5. As far as I can tell the story is a contained unit. Elektra The Hand explains some things about the Hand.

I will include spoilers in my review of Elektra The Hand. The issues families can have with Elektra The Hand are lack of attire, enticement to lust, sex outside of marriage, violence, magic, blood, bad language and more. There is hatred of foreigners in Elektra The Hand. The setting is Japan and there is a theme of racial purity.

Elektra witnesses a resurrection in Elektra The Hand. She is then told a story about another woman The Hand used. The origins of The Hand are also explained in Elektra The Hand. The man that founded The Hand hated foreigners because his mother was abused by one. As a boy he killed the foreigner. His mother protected him.

This boy was trained to be a warrior in Elektra The Hand. Eventually he led the school. A foreigners with a half Japanese daughter asked for her to be trained. Some were for it and some against it. The leader let her in and used the dad as his spy. He and the woman fell in love. This caused all kinds of problems in the organization. It let to a coup near the end of Elektra The Hand.

The couple killed many of their enemies in Elektra The Hand. They were both injured and it looked really bad for them. They did not want to give their enemies the satisfaction so they killed themselves near the end of this graphic novel. Elektra The Hand feels like a lot of Japanese culture I have read and watched over the years.
