Dune Part Two

I noticed recently that not all movie companies are making sure to keep their movies around the two hour mark. They are going to tell the story no matter how long it takes them. Dune Part Two is a great example. It takes one hundred and sixty-six minutes to watch Dune Part Two from start to finish. Even with that long time to watch this movie, parts of it near the end feel rushed to me.

I will include spoilers in my review of the Dune Part Two movie. I am thankful I had the money to purchase a copy of Dune Part Two on DVD. The issues families can have with Dune Part Two are violence, bad language, lack of attire, enticement to lust, sex outside of marriage, blood, and more. There is a very disturbing and disgusting scene where two male character kiss on the mouth in Dune Part Two.

Paul Atreides wants revenge for what happened to him and his family in Dune Part Two. Paul has some of the Fremen believe he is their prophet. He has others that do not believe in Dune Part Two. To give him an army to conquer the emperor he ensures the others believe as well. Ultimately he learns the ways of the Fremen in Dune Part Two. He rides a giant grandfather worm for example.

Paul's mother becomes a major religious figure in Dune Part Two. She is the Reverend Mother in Dune Part Two. Thanks to drinking the Water of Life. Paul also drinks this water, and is saved by the tears of his Fremen lover. Paul can then see all of the different possible futures in Dune Part Two. Paul convinces all of the Fremen he is their prophet and brings the emperor to him.

Paul challenges the emperor and kills the man that fought in his place. The daughter of the emperor agrees to marry Paul and let him ascend to the throne if he will let his father live. The emperor even bows and kisses Paul's ring. The Great Houses are in space and they do not accept this. So a new war will begin after this last one finished. I think this wraps up the story but there might be another movie after it.
