Duck Detective The Secret Salami

I wanted a physical copy of Duck Detective The Secret Salami so I went to Super Rare Games. It was extremely expensive for a game that can be beaten in two to three hours. I wish the physical copy versions of these indie video games were not so expensive. There is some charm to this detective video games that has plenty of tongue in cheek humor.

Right off the bat players are given the choice of Detective mode or Story mode. Story mode is much easier so I went that route. As I started to play Duck Detective The Secret Salami I noticed the nice emotional range of the characters in the voice acting. This really impressed me. The detective in this video game is a duck and he is getting a divorce.

I wish the main character had a name other that Duck Detective. All these other characters have names. The main character had an addiction to bread. He is recovering and trying to get his life back in order. We learn how to investigate things in the main office in Duck Detective The Secret Salami as a sort of tutorial. Then we are off to our first case.

The Duck Detective is a bit flighty at times in Duck Detective The Secret Salami. He did not even ask who the client was. Part of the first case in Duck Detective The Secret Salami is to figure out who hired you. The animations in Duck Detective The Secret Salami are bad. Like cardboard figures moving around kind of bad. I knocked over a lot of trash cans though.

The music in Duck Detective The Secret Salami fits the theme of this video game. I really liked the music and the voice acting. There is some bad language in Duck Detective The Secret Salami. The graphics are on the indie side. The charm and character is what really stands out for me in this indie video game. I would love better animations, but that might just be me.
