Civil War

I know there are some that are going to want to know why I reviewed this movie. Why did I even watch Civil War? If you read my Future Glimpses books then you have an answer to that already. Or at least a suspicion to an answer. The Civil War concept is an interesting one to a great many people. That theme can be found in the Future Glimpses books. I was interested to see how Holly Weird would handle it in this movie. After all there are so many ways this could have gone. There will be spoilers in this review.

The final reason as to why I am reviewing Civil War is I want you to avoid this movie like the plague. Noah and I both spent 109 minutes watching Civil War. This was the biggest waste of close to two hours of our time in years. This movie is bad on so many levels. Civil War is horrible on too many different degrees. Civil War felt like the liberal playbook to what they want to do when they do not have the White House.

The issues families can have with Civil War are violence, blood, gore, bad language, and more. Lee and Joel are two journalists in Civil War that are trying to get to the White House to interview the president. They pick up Sammy and Jessie on their trip. The two women take pictures of the war torn America as battles are waging across the nation. California and Texas unite to attack the president. Florida also secedes and rises up in arms.

Throughout Civil War I could not tell who was who. There are regular dressed people murdering soldiers, and soldiers murdering soldiers. At times Civil War felt like a military coup. There is not enough basis for why this Civil War is happening. There is one little comment about the president staying in for a third term. All I got from Civil War is that everyone was doing horrible stuff to one another.

The main journalist Lee dies while saving Jessie's life. Jessie takes pictures of Lee while she dies. The president is murdered in cold blood in Civil War. People that surrendered and are trying to negotiate are murdered in Civil War. Looters are tortured. Civil War made me feel like I was reading Solomon about how everything is chasing after the wind. Both sides are shown as bad in Civil War.
