Avatar The Way of Water
SCORE: 65
I will openly admit that Avatar The Way of Water was a huge
disappointment for me. I knew there would be certain aspects to this
movie, but the whole concept feels a bit far fetched to me. It takes one
hundred and ninety-two minutes to watch Avatar The Way of Water. Which
is just over three hours. A lot of the scenes in Avatar The Way of Water
are honestly redundant and pointless. The story could be told in a much
shorter time.
The issues families can have with Avatar The Way of Water are lack of
attire, enticement to lust, nudity, violence, blood, bad language, and
more. The Gaia religious belief is taught in Avatar The Way of Water.
There is a nostalgia in Avatar The Way of Water for the tribal people.
The thing is technology and medicine would have never progressed under
that system. There are so many wonderful things we benefit from thanks
to advancement.
I will include spoilers in my review of the Avatar The Way of Water
movie. The Sully family is being hunted by the memories of the Colonel
they killed before. The family moves from the woodlands into the sea.
They are living with the sea people in an area with all of these
islands. The Colonel's son has gone native but is captured. He actually
saves the memories of his father in an Avatar body.
There are aspects of Avatar The Way of Water that make zero sense to me.
For example the Colonel is killed and drowned. He is brought to the
surface and breaths again. Why was it such a big deal for the family to
hold their breath and get to the surface? If the Colonel could die and
come back once he could breath again so could they. At times the logic
in Avatar The Way of Water makes no sense to me.
Hunting animals for certain things are shown in Avatar The Way of Water.
I am not sure why they did not capture, sedate, take some of the gland
and then free the animal. Killing it was a bit on the excessive side.
Plus it angered the natives into attacking the one ship. Avatar The Way
of Water feels smaller in scale than the first movie. The Colonel is
allowed to go rogue with no consequences.
