Atari Arcade 2

The Atari Arcade 2 cartridge on the Evercade system contains ten
games. The ten games on Atari Arcade 2 are Berzerk, Frenzy, Lost Tomb,
Minefield, Moon War, Rescue, Tazz-Mani, Fire Truck, Dark Planet, and
Maze Invaders. I noticed some of the games on the Atari Arcade 2
cartridge are very similar. Atari Arcade 2 contains six action, three
shoot em up, and one driving and racing game. These games are from the
1980s.
Berzerk and Frenzy are very similar in Atari Arcade 2. We run around
mazes and shoot these guys. Some of them shoot back and that can be a
problem if you know what I mean. The controls are a bit on the slow side
too. Tazz-Mania has us on a screen where the walls are coming in. We
must shoot all of the enemies for the exit to appear. Then we must get
to the exit before we get squashed. To make matters more annoying
certain enemies keep repawning on the screen.
Lost Tomb in Atari Arcade 2 is a bit more complex than some of the other
games. There is a map screen so we can see the way to go down the
pyramid. We must then make it through these screens by collecting
treasure while all these things are coming after us. We use the buttons
to shoot in all four directions. Moon War is a shooter that did not
appeal to me in any way, shape or form. I did not like that game.
Dark Planet on the Atari Arcade 2 absolutely confused me. These aliens
are drawing lines and running along them. I could shoot them, and slow
them down. Then some other enemy would ram me and we both would die. I
never got the point. Rescue is a real fun game where we are in a
helicopter avoiding enemies shooting at us and trying to rescue someone
in the water. We must avoid hitting them with the chopper or crashing
into the water.
Minefield is a fun game where we have a tank on the ground. We must
avoid mines on the ground, air ships in the air, and other vehicles on
the ground. Make it so far and you get picked up by a helicopter. Fire
Truck is exactly as it sounds. Drive a fire truck around town. Odd
controls there. Maze Invaders is the best game in Atari Arcade 2. Gobble
up fruit and get to the exit. No pellets though.
