Aquaman #4

SCORE: 67

Aquaman #4

I had already purchased Aquaman #4 before I read the last issue and decided I would be done with this series. Aquaman #4 follows the predictable path that I expected it to. Aquaman #4 is actually a bit better than the last issue. I do not feel that Aquaman #4 did enough to make me want to keep reading this series. I am on the fence about the fifth issue. I might read it and review it and I might not.

Aquaman #4 cost me $3.99. There are twenty pages of comic book content within Aquaman #4. Spoilers will be a part of this comic book review. The issues for families within Aquaman #4 are enticement to lust, lack of attire, violence, blood, false gods, and more. The DC Nation Spotlight in Aquaman #4 is on the Summer of Superman Special #1. It is interesting how they are always plugging some other product.

Aquaman wakes up on the ship and finds out he is being taken to Dagon. He is chained to the floor of the boat. Aquaman uses his powers to draw the water out of the wood in the flooring to make it brittle. Aquaman escapes through the hole he makes in the floor. He then uses his water powers to keep his pursuers are bay. The other two show up and help him by breaking his chains.

Aquaman is given a cool new weapon in Aquaman #4. The name of this new weapon is Thalassa, the Trilance Saber. It looks like a mix between a sword and a trident. The middle prong is really long like a sword. There are two much shorter prongs on each side. Aquaman comments that the sword feels like an extension of himself in Aquaman #4. He uses it to destroy the boat that he was captured on.

Can you guess what Aquaman plans to do next? Aquaman #4 lets us know that the next stop is to go and see this Dagon. The horrible guy that had him kidnapped. The end destination stays the same. The only difference is Aquaman is free and he is armed with this nice special weapon. Part of me wants to see how that battle goes. Part of me wants to be done with this series and save a little bit of money.
