Aquaman #3

Have you ever noticed that some comic book series get worse with each and every single issue? That is how I feel about this one. Aquaman #3 is worse than the second issue which was worse that the first issue. The direction at first was interesting, but Aquaman #3 is totally losing me. I am not sure how much longer I am going to keep reading this series. I may be done with Aquaman pretty soon.

Aquaman #3 cost me $3.99. There are twenty pages of comic book content within Aquaman #3. Advertisements can be found throughout this comic book. There is not a page devoted to the next issue. I can tell this series is not done yet. We do get the page about Absolute Martian Manhunter. I am so glad I did not get into the Absolute universe at all. I will include spoilers in my review of the Aquaman #3 comic book.

The issues families can have with Aquaman #3 are violence, blood, lack of attire, magic, false gods, and more Dagon wants Aquaman. I guess he is going to try and possess him or something evil like that. There are two stories within Aquaman #3. We have a flash back when Arthur was a kid, and we have where Aquaman is with those other two characters on this alien world.

Dagon sends some mermaids that can fly in the air to go and collect Arthur. While the other two are working on weapons to fight Dagon, Aquaman is attacked and kidnapped. Aquaman is on his way to another world or a moon or something. Somehow there is a water current going up to this other location and they are in a small boat. The other two finish the weapon and realize Aquaman is gone.

The flashback is about when lightning hit the light house and there was a boat coming too close to the shore. Arthur's father teaches him how to use oil in the lamp instead of electricity. They save the boat just in time in Aquaman #3. There was a lesson in there about doing what needed to be done. Aquaman #3 helps us understand the morals and ethics Aquaman was raised with.
