Robotech Defenders #2

I am thankful I had the twenty-five cents to purchase a copy of the Robotech Defenders #2 comic book. This is another one of those comic books I found at McKAY's. Robotech Defenders #2 original sold for seventy-five cents back in April of 1985. The back of the front cover contains a message from the editor as well as the credits. This was supposed to be a three part series that they finished with the second issue.

There will be spoilers in this review of the Robotech Defenders #2 comic book. I watched the entire Robotech cartoon which was actually three different anime from Japan put together when they released in the United States of America. Nothing in Robotech Defenders #2 is familiar to me. I am not sure what all happened in the first issue of this series. It does not seem to me that I do need to know.

There are thirty-two pages of comic book content within Robotech Defenders #2. There are no advertisements within Robotech Defenders #2. The issues families can have with Robotech Defenders #2 are violence, blood, false gods, and more. The Grelon are attacking and the Robotech Defenders are working on stopping them in this comic book. We also learn that the S'Landrai are actually behind these attacks.

The S'Landrai are able to syphon the life force out of other beings in Robotech Defenders #2. The S'Landrai take the life force of the Grelon and become a problem for the Robotech Defenders. The S'Landrai do not try to suck the life force out of the Robotech Defenders though. Instead they fight them and their mechs in Robotech Defenders #2. I found this direction to be strange.

The coloring of one page sometimes bleeds into another page. Robotech Defenders #2 was not taken care of very well. It was also only a quarter so I cannot complain. The dialogue is campy in a lot of places. None of the characters stuck out for me. The Robotech Defenders use the old overload their syphoning devices to destroy them in Robotech Defenders #2. This is an interesting piece of history.
