Sonic the Hedgehog FCBD

It amazes me how God works things out for our good over and over again. The boys, myself and Princess were out shopping and Peter suggested checking out this comic book shop we had been meaning to visit. We go there and it is on Free Comic Book Day. We had received a request in the past to review some comic books and Sonic the Hedgehog was one of those requests. I found a free comic book for Sonic the Hedgehog and decided to grab it, read it, and review it. This is the last of those steps.

Sonic the Hedgehog FCBD has two stories in the twenty pages. The two stories are Deep Trouble, and Prelude to Disaster. Deep Trouble is really good. Knuckles invites Tails and Sonic to help him investigate some rumblings in Marble Gardens on Angel Island. They run across Eggman and fight him off. Eggman was drilling around in that area. So we now know what the rumblings were all about. Sonic and Knuckles do not get along in Deep Trouble. Tails must play peacekeeper in this portion of the free comic book.

I am not as fond of the second story in Sonic the Hedgehog FCBD. Prelude to Disaster has a really good title to it. There is very little dialogue in Prelude to Disaster. Just words in the boxes as it is being narrated to us. I must admit this style of reading is not my personal taste. There were various artists involved with Prelude to Disaster in Sonic the Hedgehog FCBD. That means the art ranges. I liked some and was not big on other portions.

I should not have expected a whole lot from Sonic the Hedgehog FCBD. It is a free comic book that is being used to get you to purchase more comic books in the future. In fact Sonic the Hedgehog FCBD tells us where the story is continued. You can read more in this certain issue of Sonic the Hedgehog. I think it was issue #50. So the last part of Sonic the Hedgehog FCBD is just a recap and prelude to what comes next. Sonic the Hedgehog FCBD did not cost anything so there is that.

There is some very mild violence and peril within Sonic the Hedgehog FCBD. It could have been much worse. I feel Sonic the Hedgehog FCBD is pretty safe for most kids. The first half has great art and some nice dialogue. The second part has some good art, and some meh art in it. The dialogue did not retain my interest for its run. There are twenty pages within Sonic the Hedgehog FCBD and some advertisement pages at the end. I may need to check out the Sonic the Hedgehog comic book at some future date.
