I have a bit of a confession to make. I never saw the first Rock Dog movie. In fact I never even heard of the first Rock Dog movie. I know that of course advertisers stick out in my mind, as do sponsors. I normally know about the products we are sent. Rock Dog was none of those and I never recall seeing it at a local retailer, or online retailer when searching for movies. Everyone here at Family Friendly Gaming was a bit surprised to hear about this franchise since none of us had heard of the first one.

I am very thankful we were sent the Blu-ray + Digital version of Rock Dog 2 Rock Around the Park. It takes ninety minutes to watch Rock Dog 2 Rock Around the Park from start to finish. The bonus content on the Rock Dog 2 Rock Around the Park Blu-ray disc is to make bookmarks at certain points in the movie. I suppose that is if you want to get back to a certain point in the movie.

Bodi is a big fish in a small pond. He comes from the village right under Snow Mountain. Bodi is part of the band True Blue, and they get to hit it big in Rock Dog 2 Rock Around the Park. They learn about how they have to play the game, and give the audience the same performance in every single town. How do you do that you might ask? By playing your music electronically instead of actually playing it live.

I will admit that I do not personally like going to live concerts. The music never sounds as good in a concert compared to what is created in the studio. Rock Dog 2 Rock Around the Park has a wolf character in sheep's clothing. I mean that literally. I am still not sure what animal all of the villagers are near Snow Mountain. Are they sheep? Are they goats? Whatever they are their faces look exactly the same.

The animation in Rock Dog 2 Rock Around the Park is okay. The music has a few moments here and there. For a movie all about rock and music I was honestly expecting some more major hits. Normally I watch a music based movie and there are some songs I want to go and purchase. Rock Dog 2 Rock Around the Park did not have any which is a bit of a surprise for me.

I struggled trying to find the message in Rock Dog 2 Rock Around the Park. We learn to believe in family, Chinese traditional food, stay true to yourself, and do not let fame change you. Rock Dog 2 Rock Around the Park also taught me that musicians are very needy. There are some funny moments in Rock Dog 2 Rock Around the Park. There are also plenty of musical related puns that may make you groan.
