Heal Console Edition

Family Friendly Gaming received a digital download code for Heal Console Edition on the Playstation 5. I was pretty excited to see an enhanced version of a video game. Heal Console Edition is a horror adventure video game where we solve puzzles. We have an elderly gentleman who walks where we tell him to via the cursor. Heal Console Edition looks like it ported from the Personal Computer to me.

Heal Console Edition is a side scrolling 2D video game where we use the cursor to interact with objects. Click and drag this one for example. Press buttons to move the hands of the clock around. There are hints in Heal Console Edition that help players progress through the areas. I did notice as we progress through the seven levels there are less hints. Or maybe I was not looking hard enough for them.

The artwork in Heal Console Edition is very distinctive. Looking at Heal Console Edition is like looking at some paintings in the museum. You know what the things are even if they do not exactly look as they do in the real world. Bob Ross was not involved with the creation or design of Heal Console Edition. I always liked his puffy clouds. Do you remember those? They were so bright and upbeat.

Heal Console Edition explores aging and dementia in a very minimalistic way possible. You might even miss it unless you are really paying attention. I found myself more frustrated with Heal Console Edition than anything else. Maybe that is the true message from Heal Console Edition. Maybe Heal Console Edition is trying to tell us that aging and dementia are frustrating. Copy that.

The creepy music in Heal Console Edition goes along with the horror theme. Getting old and losing your mind is certainly something very scary to some people. The ho-hum nature of the graphics fit the theme in Heal Console Edition as well. I wish Heal Console Edition included some hint system where we earned credits for completing puzzles and could use that to solve puzzles we are stuck on.
