Macgyver Season 2

I finally got through Macgyver Season 2. Black Friday a few years back I purchased Macgyver Season 1 and Macgyver Season 2. It was such a struggle to get through Macgyver Season 1 that I was in no rush to watch Macgyver Season 2. I literally had to force myself to pick this show and work my way through it. Macgyver Season 2 does get a bit better in some regards. It gets a lot worse in other regards. I will try and explain those sentences.

The issues families will have with Macgyver Season 2 are blood, violence, promotion of sexual deviancy, bad language, and more. The heroes steal vehicles all the time in Macgyver Season 2. Macgyver Season 2 is anti-male, anti-fathers, pro Halloween, and claims Americans do not care about Puerto Rico. There are so many convenient plot points that Macgyver Season 2 is not believable. The unrealistic moments and solutions add to that.

The team and cast seem to gel together better. A new blonde thrown into the mix does not really help with that. Matty continues to be unlikeable and unbelievable. The core theme of Macgyver Season 2 is finding Mac’s father. SPOILER ALERT! We find him in the final episode of Macgyver Season 2. At this point the writers lost all sense of logic and sense. The reasoning behind Marty investigating him and his hiding all these years makes zero sense.

Macgyver Season 2 enjoys perpetuating myths like the Bermuda Triangle, and aliens while ignoring realities like Christmas. There are some funny moments in Macgyver Season 2 here and there. It is always interesting to see what strange solution Macgyver will come up with next. We get some more coherent and longer story telling in Macgyver Season 2. Like Bozer going to spy school. Rules are ignored by the “good” characters in Macgyver Season 2 routinely. They are never properly punished.

Riley gets a boyfriend at the end of Macgyver Season 2 that does not seem like a good fit for her. Her father coming back into her life is really neat and the actor plays that part extremely well. It takes over sixteen hours to get through Macgyver Season 2 on DVD. I doubt I will ever watch this show again. I researched the next season and found out characters are leaving and the show starts to decline. Which is bad since this show is already starting at a low point.
