Fortnite

We normally do not review video games in Early Access. Fortnite may never get out of Early Access though. While on Christmas Break I decided to learn and play some Fortnite on the Playstation 4. The modes except Save the World are free. There are one hundred man battle royals, and rotating modes. Epic Games keeps changing the modes that are available for teams. Fortnite also has Duos, Squads and Creative. Creative is a great mode to practice and get better.

One of the Fortnite videos I did is already online. The other one will be online after this review publishes. I have also written multiple news articles about Fortnite now. This game can be very addicting as players try to win matches. I have ranked number two in multiple one hundred man matches. I have come close to winning but have not won one. I am also probably done playing Fortnite.

The match making in Fortnite in my opinion is not very good. I was in way over my head from the beginning. I had to learn how to collect resources, craft, and more. Collecting weapons and ammo is really easy. Learning the massive map is not so easy. By the way that map is changing in the different seasons. Fortnite can be very addicting as players want to win so they try over and over again.

There are all kinds of daily missions to complete in Fortnite. If you can win you can get V-Bucks which will allow you cosmetic changes to your characters skin. V-Bucks can also be purchased for real money which is why Epic is rolling in the cash. Guns do not auto target so you must line up your shot. Smart players jump all around to make themselves a harder target. Imagine jumping around and trying to target another player. I lost those skills many years ago.

Save the World is a different mode where you collect resources and defend against zombies. However you play this third person shooter know there is violence. A plethora of weapons can be used to make other players vanish. If you are hurt then you might find yourself crawling on all fours. You will most likely get finished off by another player. If you are in some team mode then a team mate can revive you.

The loading can take awhile in Fortnite. There are almost always matches that players can get into quickly. I see why people enjoy playing Fortnite. The match making needs to improve for newbie players to win some and learn the skills to victory. Building is important, and so is siting the weapons. I learned hiding could get me in the top ten quite often. A strategy that some players do not appreciate.
