Boxing Champs

How long has it been since you have played
a top down boxing video game? It has been some time for me. Which is why
I was excited to hear Family Friendly Gaming received a digital download
code for Boxing Champs on the Nintendo Switch. This top down boxer has a
lot of charm to it. Boxing Champs has more of an arcade feel to it than
		a simulation feel.

Boxing Champs can be played by one or two players. There are matches
that can be fought with thirty boxers or go into the career mode. in the
career mode you will create your boxer with a decent amount of
customization. After you create your boxer in Boxing Champs then you wil
begin to fight other characters. Beat them and you can improve your
		stats and fight tougher opponents.

Boxing Champs has a tutorial that teaches players how to control this
game. There are multiple different control schemes that can be used
while this downloadable only home console boxing video game is being
played. I preferred the buttons over the right stick personally. I felt
a better sense of control in terms of throwing punches.

Stamina and blocking are extremely important in Boxing Champs. There are
lucky punches that can knock any boxer out at any point in a match. I
had this happen to me, and the computer opponent multiple times. When
you get knocked down you must spam the 'B' button to get back up. The
better your stats the easier it is to get back up. We can also taunt our
		opponents.

The music is pretty nice in Boxing Champs. The content in Boxing Champs
that can concern families is the violence. We are bashing their heads
in. The characters look pretty happy while they are throwing punches.
They do not look so happy after getting pummeled. The key to victory in
Boxing Champs is to block and only punch when your opponents guard is
		down.

I would love to see Boxing Champs grow into the physical copy realm.
This is also a game that would make a nice advertisement on the Family
Friendly Gaming website. I like the overhead view, especially when an
uppercut is used to knock out the other boxer. That view is absolutely
		perfect in my opinion.
