The Crew 2

I despised the first Crew video game. I won't lie. I won't sugar coat it. The Crew was a horrible game on so many levels. Ubisoft obviously listens because they made The Crew 2 way better. I am not just talking about racing boats, bikes, and planes. I am talking about toning down the bad content. The Crew 2 is about the joy of racing, and being the best there is at it.

Families may wonder why The Crew 2 has the thirteen and older only rating on it. The reason is the bad language. There are nasty, hate filled songs in The Crew 2, and there are characters who spout off bad language. The volume of the music can be turned down to nothing. Which is what I did. The cut scenes can be skipped in The Crew 2. That will help avoid the bad language. I really wish the bad language had been left at the door.

I love all the different kinds of racing in The Crew 2. We can go off-road, street race, drift, and more. The controls of the planes felt a little weird to me. Every vehicle in The Crew 2 builds a boost. These are used up quickly, and they charge pretty quick too. Boosting is how I won certain races in The Crew 2. I did not find a super easy mode in The Crew 2. I think the game may try and figure out where you are and compensate accordingly.

The loading can take some time in The Crew 2. The map in The Crew 2 is absolutely huge. The Crew 2 is not an accurate scale of the United States of America. There are plenty of well known cities and locations in The Crew 2. Players can buy new vehicles with their winnings from races, drive around the game, modify their vehicles, race, and more. The Crew 2 is definitely worth fifty dollars in my opinion.

For some strange reason The Crew 2 must always be online. I don't get that. An Ubisoft account is required to play The Crew 2. They are easy to set up. That was more of a nuisance than anything else. The Crew 2 looks good, and has us build social media followers by racing. Each time you level up you will be able to access even more races. I am very thankful Ubisoft sent Family Friendly Gaming a retail copy of The Crew 2. Check out the Unboxing video here. Should we do a video game play series of The Crew 2?
