Plantera

Plantera is making history here at Family Friendly Gaming. It is the first game of 2017 to earn the rarely given Family Friendly Gaming Seal of Approval. This is a small download of only 40 megs. Plantera is out on the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS now. I played it on both systems for this review. If you have the same user ID on your 3DS and Wii U, then Plantera has a cross promotional buy. Meaning you buy it for one system and you can download and play it on the other one for free.

I am grateful Family Friendly Gaming was given a digital download code for Plantera on both the Wii U, and Nintendo 3DS. My only complaint about Plantera is there is no physical copy of this game. I noticed Plantera can also be found on Steam, and the app store. Plantera has an app feel to it. Plantera is a game that casual gamers can get into. There is no stress or pressure in this game.

The music in Plantera is really nice. There is off screen play for Plantera on the Wii U. What kind of game is Plantera? Sort of a city builder but with gardens. We start out collecting money, and planting carrots. Our little cute ball of fun collects them, and later we can plant bushes. After that we can plant trees. I loved leveling up in Plantera. I loved harvesting different crops in Plantera. In fact I like Plantera more than Harvest Moon.

I found that other animals can be bad. They want to steal my crops. I had to tap them to make them go away. Thankfully there are other animals that will help your garden produce more. They are my friends. I also gained workers who helped me pick crops. Which can be handy when your attention is elsewhere. I loved expanding my farm with gold in Plantera.

Bewares the foxes in Plantera. They want to eat your chickens. Bad foxes! The goal in Plantera is to improve your garden, expand your garden, and collect all kinds of crops. There is a ceiling on the animals and crops on your farm. I liked purchasing items in Plantera that let me scare animals away. I had a lot of fun playing Plantera on the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. I believe you will as well. Plantera is a fun, relaxing game that is safe for the entire family.

UPDATE: {12/10/2017} Plantera was ported to the Nintendo Switch under the name Plantera Deluxe. It added a horse, Christmas mode, and expanded the size of the garden.
