I am thankful Family Friendly Gaming was given a digital download
code for NBA 2K18 on the Playstation 4. This basketball video game
improves in a variety of forms, and fashions. The first thing I noticed
about NBA 2K18 is the improved presentation. There are some aspects of
NBA 2K18 that will be controversial. I will get into that in just a

The graphics in NBA 2K18 are phenomenal. The announcers feel more fluid
and realistic. There are now videos before the pre game show that relate
to fanboys and the franchise. They sort of felt like commercials. The
pre game show has been improved. Although their character models do not
look that great. The basketball players look much better. So do the fans
in the stands and the courts.
Issues families can have with NBA 2K18 is bad language, lack of attire,
offensive songs, insults, and more. The game play in NBA 2K18 is
fantastic. The one complaint we have here at Family Friendly Gaming is
the streaks. When the momentum is against you it can be difficult to
score. Those in and outs happen way more frequently when you are not
already scoring.
NBA 2K18 is chock full with modes and reasons to replay. On top of the
current NBA teams we also get classic NBA teams, all time NBA teams. The
modes in NBA 2K18 are Play Now (Regular Exhibition, 2KU, Blacktop), My
Career, My GM (offline), My League (online, offline), Start Today
(offline), Single Season, Playoffs, Create A Character, Change
Characters Appearance, View Current Roster, Change Roster, Create A
Second Player, Change 2K Beats, Change Shoes, and Options.
There are plenty of game play adjustments families can make to NBA 2K18
so this game will fit their style. We have announcers that make comments
in NBA 2K18 that some people will find offensive. Different people put a
different value on certain acts by others. One person will praise
certain behavior and another will condemn it. I heard multiple
politically correct statements in NBA 2K18 that some will find highly
offensive. I did not find any comments sharing a diverse viewpoint on
those topics. Cheerleaders are present in NBA 2K18, and shown during
many of the time outs.
I had issues skipping some of the cut scenes in NBA 2K18. The story line
in My Career is much better in NBA 2K18. I am thankful 2K Sports went
away from the dark story line. I found three to five songs in NBA 2K18
that I actually wanted to listen to. Songs can be turned on or off one
at a time. Loading times in NBA 2K18 were a bit long. The download size
of NBA 2K18 is fifty-one gigs. We are definitely recommending the
physical copy edition for families. I saw a few graphical glitches here
and there in NBA 2K18. I declare NBA 2K18 to be the best video game
basketball game released this year.
