Kid Tripp

I am thankful Four Horses sent Family Friendly Gaming a digital downloadable code for Kid Tripp on the Nintendo 3DS. This is a game for hardcore gamers. Kid Tripp is hard. Kid Tripp is tough. You better have some good skills at jumping and shooting in perfect precision. Kid Tripp is a level based runner. Your character is always running to the right. Unless you are obstructed by a block. You will not die in that instance though. Your character will stand there and wait for you to jump.

There are only twenty levels in Kid Tripp. They are broken apart into four worlds. There is a certain flow to each of the levels in Kid Tripp. Players start with ten lives and can get another one for every one hundred coins collected. As long as you have coins you can continue. I did not try to continue without coins. I noticed all of my coins went away when I continued. So maybe you can continue without coins.

Kid Tripp has 8-bit graphics and 8-bit music. I will admit when I first saw Kid Tripp, I was not impressed. Then I hit the difficulty curve and groaned about another insane difficult game. How many indie games nowadays want to be nearly impossible to beat? The controls in Kid Tripp take a lot to get used to. I was able to adapt to them, but some others here at Family Friendly Gaming continue to struggle.

Kid Tripp is a port from the app arena. I do believe Kid Tripp is better with D-pad, and buttons than touch only controls. But then I prefer to play games with the D-pad and buttons over touch only controls. Kid Tripp is only a digital download. There are no physical copy versions of Kid Tripp that I could find. My apologies to the millions upon millions of gamers in the physical copy movement.

Kid Tripp taught me one thing - perseverance. I worked really hard to beat each level in Kid Tripp that I played. Some gamers will rage quit while playing Kid Tripp. I thankfully did not hit that point. I noticed that certain things like spikes and water can be jumped off of if you time it just right. You need to be very good to do those things. Hopefully that tip will help some of ya'll in Family Friendly Gaming Universe.
