Noah's Cradle

Family Friendly Gaming received a digital download code for Noah's Cradle on the Nintendo 3DS. This is a space shooter that feels more like an Ace Combat video game. We have missiles, lasers, shields and more in Noah's Cradle. There are a variety of missions to complete around this gas giant planet. There is a whole storyline about why humans are in space and what this has to do with the exact name of the game.

Noah's Cradle has three different game save slots so multiple members of the family can play Noah's Cradle in their own game saves. The music in Noah's Cradle is really cool. It felt like a space based video game. There is a limited amount of missiles on the space fighter ship thing we are flying in Noah's Cradle. Unlike other space shooters there are less ships to destroy in Noah's Cradle.

There are issues in Noah's Cradle that families will want to know about. There is violence, explosions, and more. The controls were really weird. Like the touch screen being used to control the speed. I had trouble with lock-ons not hitting the targets. I am unclear why the missiles lost the lock on and went to the planet. It was an intermittent problem too. I ran into it enough to mention it.

I had real issues moving around and finding the targets in Noah's Cradle. I also found edges of the map where my mission would end if I made contact. I learned quickly to avoid them when I saw them coming up. I also made sure not to focus too much on my radar or I would run into something like the edges or the planet. Warnings pop up when our altitude is too low.

There is a tutorial in Noah's Cradle. It is optional. So if you want to skip it and get right into the hand held video game then you can. If you want to learn all there is about Noah's Cradle then you can go into it. There are multiple levels and they are large. I could fly around for awhile and not find another ship to shoot at in Noah's Cradle. Which made some levels drag on near the end of the mission.
