Tomorrowland

I was so excited and thankful when I heard Family Friendly Gaming was provided a reviewable copy of Tomorrowland on Blu-ray + DVD + Digital HD. I had seen previews of this science fiction movie and it looked interesting. I know George Clooney has radical, fanatical, zealot far left wing beliefs. I hoped it would not impact this movie. I also knew George Clooney was known for killing off the Batman franchise in the 1990s. Thankfully it was rebooted this century without him.

I am surprised Tomorrowland was given the PG rating. With all the explosions, death, blood, and robot gore I would expect a PG-13 rating. The same goes for bad language in this movie. The bad language was not needed to tell this story. It winds up hurting Tomorrowland. Can't clean language be a good part of the future? I would certainly hope so. Hollywood has never been known to be in touch with the people though.

It is my sad duty to report the extremely radical, far left chicken little the sky is falling opinion in shown in Tomorrowland. It got to the level of propaganda and brainwashing for me, and everyone else here at Family Friendly Gaming that watched it. There were quite a few comments of disgust that they kept plugging that out of touch with reality belief. Liberals have been wrong for decades about these issues, and they just keep regurgitating them. They are splitting America apart because they fail to listen. They just want to spread lies.

George Clooney does play the part of an out of touch grumpy old man whose beliefs are completely wrong, quite well. I guess he only had to play himself. The various robot characters are interesting, and different. I especially liked Athena. The teenager Casey who wants to fix the world with her ability to see how things work rounds out the cast nicely. There are plenty of moments of peril in Tomorrowland.

Tomorrowland glorifies dreamers, and gives them a pocket dimension where they can work on the perfect world. A level of elitism exists in Tomorrowland. They do not want the rest of us humans because we are shown as destroying ourselves and all that is around us. Tomorrowland goes so far to say we welcome our own destruction. This is where Tomorrowland tries to guilt trip us. It never bothers to acknowledge the end of the world assumption on their part is one hundred percent wrong. Spoilers in next paragraph.

Ultimately in Tomorrowland, the pocket dimension perfect city is actually what is destroying the world, and must be cleaned up. The main characters do so, with one of them sacrificing their life. Then they start recruiting what the movie defines as dreamers. I noticed they were all professions that liberals appreciate. I did not notice one conservative profession picked.

Some of the bonus features on the Tomorrowland discs are Remembering the Future A Personal Journey Through Tomorrowland with Brad Bird, Animated Short The Origins of Plus Ultra, Casting Tomorrowland, A Great Big Beautiful Scoring Session, Deleted Scenes, The World of Tomorrow Science Hour Hosted by Futurologist David Nix, and of course some more.
