Turtle Tale

You are a plugged in, and informed gamer right? You read the story on Family Friendly Gaming about 3DS games on the Wii U? Turtle Tale reminds me of that story. Turtle Tale was released on the Nintendo 3DS a few months back. Now it is being released on the Wii U. Know what that makes me think? That porting 3DS to Wii U could be happening more often.

Turtle Tale allows us to control a turtle with a water gun. These mean, nasty, hateful pirate monkeys have invaded. It is up to us to wash them away with our water gun. There are other creatures in Turtle Tale like birds, crabs, fish, and more.

Turtle Tale is somewhere between a kids game, and a hardcore gamer experience. The water gun makes Turtle Tale less violent. The jumps and all of the collectible items can be difficult. Most importantly is that last part - collecting all of the fruit. If you make a mistake in certain levels you have to completely replay to get 100%.

For an indie game Turtle Tale is really good. The price is low on this downloadable only video game - it is selling for $2.99. Which is nice seeings how players can complete the game in a couple of hours. Many of the levels feel alike in Turtle Tale.

Kids may need parental involvement with Turtle Tale. Not because of bad stuff, but because of how hard some levels can be. There is a flow to Turtle Tale that hardcore gamers will pick up. Plus hardcore gamers will want to collect every item in every level.

I wish Turtle Tale let me move around how and where I shoot my water gun. That is my only complaint about this game. Turtle Tale teaches us to fight off evil. Turtle Tale also shows us that 3DS games can work easily on the Wii U. Finally I learned that I am content to play a game that keeps it simple.
