It was another exhausting day, and I was listening to "Centerfield" by John Fogerty. I was notified another game had come in for review. I will admit my mind was not in the right place. Especially for another download code. You have no idea how much I have come to despise download codes. We always prefer physical copies at Family Friendly Gaming.

Little did I know that the song I was listening to would be connected to the video game. What game am I talking about? Super Mega Baseball on the Playstation 3, and Playstation 4. We downloaded it on the Playstation 3 that way we can actually do some video capture at some point. No promises as to when we will work that in.

Super Mega Baseball is only a couple hundred megs, so it was a quick download and did not going to kill us in terms of Internet usage. I immediately realized how much fun this baseball game is. Super Mega Baseball is a mixture between an arcade game and a simulation.

The teams in Super Mega Baseball are not realistic. At least I have never heard of the Blowfish before. The realism is where to pitch, and what pitches to use. Plus pitchers get tired, and batters get freaked out in certain situations. Super Mega Baseball lets families play small ball, go for the home run and more.

The coolest part about Super Mega Baseball is hiring trainers to improve the stats of your players. Be careful though, because improving one thing can decrease something else. Also pay attention to how your pitcher is doing in the game. It is easy to substitute since a tired pitcher throws fat pitches. The computer will jump on those fat pitches.

I like Super Mega Baseball. I have one piece of advice for our readers. Do not shut the game off if you are in the middle of a game. I got my first loss from that. Why? I was having a bad game where nothing worked, so I shut the game off in anger. Super Mega Baseball decided I earned my first loss.

The players in Super Mega Baseball range drastically. There are young men, old men, women, and more. The baseball card representation of the players is really cool. Super Mega Baseball games range from good to frustrating. In some games I dominated. Other games nothing I tried worked. I could not find the determining factor.
