games are just matching three, and that is all there is to it, right?
Wrong. There are plenty of different styles of match three. There are
timed games, empire building games, battle games, role playing games,
speed games, and strategy games. All within the match three genre.
What kind is Legends of OZ Dorothy's Return? It is more of a strategy.
There are some timed levels in Legends of OZ Dorothy's Return. I found
quite often it was make so many moves. Which means creating as many
combos as possible. Why would that matter? Because points matter in
Legends of OZ Dorothy's Return.
You can only beat levels in Legends of OZ Dorothy's Return if you earn
so many points. This hand held Nintendo 3DS title will not let you make
moves while the board is still racking up combinations. Sorry guys no
Pokemon Trozei kind of action. Legends of OZ Dorothy's Return made me
think out my moves.
The areas in Legends of OZ Dorothy's Return are Wiser Woods, Candy
Country, Dainty China Country, Munchkin River, and Jester's Castle. We
play in Move Limit, Time Limit, Item Collection, and Item Sink. Move
Limit is the most common, and some of those are variations of it.
Leveling up in Legends of OZ Dorothy's Return is a nice feature. If you
get four or five in a row matches in Legends of OZ Dorothy's Return then
you earn yellow bricks. Those can be spent on power up items in the
store. Those items can be used in levels.
Legends of OZ Dorothy's Return is a bit on the short side in terms of
levels. That is a real shame because I would have preferred an easier
game with say one hundred levels. Legends of OZ Dorothy's Return can get
hard especially in later areas. It can be difficult to get high enough
scores to progress.
As long as you can think strategically you will have fun with Legends of
OZ Dorothy's Return. Planning ahead is something families can completely
relate to. I love the encouragement from the variety of characters in
Legends of OZ Dorothy's Return on the Nintendo 3DS. I also love how this
game comes in a physical copy.
