Glory of Generals

I play the tutorial in very few games. Glory of Generals is one of those games I had to take the tutorial. I was confused by what I had to do in certain missions. Plus there are so many different things we can do with our troops. Like dig in to be able to fight better from that grid location.

If you played any of the previous Circle Entertainment World War II strategy video games, then you will understand the foundation for Glory of Generals. There are plenty of different kinds of troops in the sixty-four missions found within this Nintendo 3DS hand held video game.

Glory of Generals is a downloadable only video game. Physical copy gamers will not be able to play Glory of Generals. I would like to see a compilation of Circle Entertainment games on a cartridge in a store. That would provide for the massive amount of physical copy gamers.

The violence in Glory of Generals is toned down considering the subject material. We are talking about a war that killed off millions of human beings. I mean that is crazy. Each person had a mother and father. Some of them were mothers or fathers themselves. How many lives were cut short because of that war? How many more would have died if we did not fight off the Nazi's?

The realism in the troops is one of the neatest things about Glory of Generals. Troops on foot can go faster than say a cannon. Troops can go over the mountains and the cannons have to go around. I did notice there was no advantage to troops attacking from a hill or forest. Which was disappointing since in real war the high ground and forest give troops an advantage.

Glory of Generals is a slow methodical game that requires strategy and intelligence. Rushing into battle is not always the smartest choice. In fact strategy is very important. Coordination of all your troops is required to sustain victory. I hope to see sequels to this game in the future.
