Where's My Mickey?
SCORE: 88
The
Where's My franchise has a new entry. It is an older looking Mickey
Mouse that goes along with a new show. The core game play aspect in
Where's My Mickey? is clouds. We fill clouds with water, and then tap
them to have them rain the water down. Wind can move the clouds around
the levels.
Where's My Mickey? makes me think about what happens when a certain
concept catches on like wildfire. They gets re-branded over and over
again. Eventually the brand becomes deluded. Do I think the Where's My
franchise is at that point? Not at all. Bringing out Mickey Mouse is
like bringing out the big guns. The natural progression of the series.
I have loved Mickey Mouse since I was a little girl. I appreciate the
three worlds in Where's My Mickey?. In fact I blew through them pretty
quickly. The app will now sit and wait for updates to come. Disney
Mobile is fantastic about releasing updates. Where's My Water? and
Where's My Perry are both still receiving updates.
The animation at the start and end of each world is really neat in
Where's My Mickey?. It tells the story of the world and why we are
working on these levels. Families can enjoy these humorous little clips
where this is some mild peril. Plus it is vintage Mickey Mouse, and who
does not like that?
The focus on clouds is an interesting one that I quickly adapted to. I
like the idea of filling them up with water, blowing them with wind, and
then have them rain down on the collectible stars. Didn't I mention that
already? The three items we collect per level are stars. There are also
world related items in some of the levels.
Where's My Mickey? is pretty easy. I did not get stuck on one of the
levels. I expect the difficult will be tweaked in updates to this app.
But since they are not a part of Where's My Mickey? at this time I can
not include them in this review. I had fun for an hour or so with
Where's My Mickey?.
