Turbo Super Stunt Squad

Many
companies will not even try to compete with and against Nintendo on
their own hand held video game system. Most companies take one look and
Mario Kart 7, and say: "no way we can compete with that."D3Publisher is
not most companies though. They have taken the Turbo Super Stunt Squad
license and created a neat little racer on the Nintendo 3DS.
Turbo Super Stunt Squad does some crazy things like have us go up or
down walls. We have massive jumps where we get major air. Getting air is
important in Turbo Super Stunt Squad. Why? That is when the player can
perform a trick by pressing a direction on the D-pad.
You might be thinking your racing, what do you care about lame tricks.
Those lame tricks will give you power ups like a speed boost. That can
be the difference between winning and losing a race in Turbo Super Stunt
Squad. Since the tournaments are point based, the higher you rank the
more points you get. The characters with the most points at the end
earns the trophy.
So you will be doing tricks, trust me, you will be doing tricks in Turbo
Super Stunt Squad. The 3D is neat to see, but can get crazy when you
bounce off the walls - which I kept doing for some reason. Probably
because I was taking corners too fast. But I had a need for speed. And
Turbo Super Stunt Squad was kind about that, since I won most of my
races.
Turbo Super Stunt Squad is very competitive. I found myself fighting to
get into, and keep first place on every single track, and every single
race. Players can restart any one race in case they are having problems
learning the tracks. There can be some interesting nuances to some of
the race tracks in Turbo Super Stunt Squad.
Sound bytes from the voice actors from the movie can be heard at timely
moments in Turbo Super Stunt Squad. I quickly tuned them out since their
voices irritated me. I did enjoy the music in Turbo Super Stunt Squad
though. All in all Turbo Super Stunt Squad is a solid racing title with
enough character to interest families.
