Soccer Up 3D

Soccer Up 3D is a neat little downloadable game on the Nintendo 3DS from EnjoyUp Games. Plenty of nations can be found in Soccer Up 3D for members of the Family Friendly Gaming Nation. And no Family Friendly Gaming does not have its own team inside this handheld game.

The look and feel to Soccer Up 3D is really neat. It feels like soccer. This 3DS game is more of an arcade experience than it is a real life simulation. Miis are used in Soccer Up 3D to play. The 3D effects are really neat. The excitement of scoring a goal is present in Soccer Up 3D.

There is not a lot of chatter in Soccer Up 3D. Which was fine with me. I enjoyed learning how to play this hand held sports game. It has a learning curve, so I suggest starting out in the practice area, and paying close attention to what the controls are. Going straight into a game will most likely end with frustration and possibly embarrassment.

I learned a few important lessons from Soccer Up 3D. Sliding into another player is immediately a penalty on me, and they get a free kick. It is really easy to kick the ball out of bounds when you are near the edge of the playing field. Losing is not much fun, but it did not bother me a whole lot in Soccer Up 3D.

Soccer Up 3D can be confusing at times. I do not know if it is the white circle around the character I was controlling or three small objects so close to one another. I felt like I ran right through the ball at times. Other times I had stolen the ball and was not even aware of it. The computer in Soccer Up 3D is very skilled and will punish you for mistakes.

The auto change players option is one of the most frustrating at times. I am not sure why but it would sometimes swap at the wrong times, or I was chasing down with one character and it swapped to another one. Guess what happened? I put that new player in the wrong position. Only one goal was needed in some games for victory, so one mistake meant a lost game.
