Disney Planes

Disney Planes on the Wii is affiliated with the Disney Planes movie. I am waiting for the DVD release to watch Disney Planes. It costs less and is more comfortable to watch at home. Plus I like my families home made popcorn better. And my mom makes us home made slushies.

Disney Planes on the Wii has two big things going against it right now. Number one is Disney Infinity. Everyone is looking at Disney Infinity which comes out on August 17th. Most are looking right past Disney Planes. Number two is this is a movie game. Games made from movies are not seen in a good light by most gamers.

Families do not have the same bias though. In fact families enjoyed wonderful Cars games based off of the movies. THQ made three of them off the first movie so you know they were selling. I loved them, so did my dad, and little brother.

We have Story Mode, Free Flight, Air Rallies and Balloon Pop in Disney Planes. Up to two family members can enjoy Disney Planes at the same time. It splits the screen in two. The top half is given to player one, and the bottom half is given to player two.

There are seven planes in Story Mode that have four levels each. There are two kinds of levels in Story Mode - racing, and questing. Racing is just like it sounds. We race through hoops and pillars from checkpoint to checkpoint. Questing can be a variety of different things like being a taxi, charging generators, getting weather readings, and more.

Free Flight is really cool. You can fly around areas your profile has unlocked. There are also puzzle pieces that can be found. Get them all and you unlock a picture. Balloon Pop is great for two family members. We fly around and pop balloons. Whoever has the highest score at the end wins.

I had to adjust the sensitivity in the options menu since it was touchy at the beginning. Disney Planes lets you crash into things and keep going. Busting up boxes is one of the best ways to get wing points. Why do you want wing points? To get a higher ranking and possibly an achievement.

The achievements in Disney Planes are really cool. But there is one problem. I can not log them on Raptr for my dad. And I got so many of them too. Disney Planes makes us shoot certain things in some of the levels too. I hope families give Disney Planes a chance since it is an above average movie based video game. Disney Planes lets you do multiple things in multiple ways.
