Wheres My Perry
SCORE: 93
Where's My Water? has been a huge success,
and a well loved app here at Family Friendly Gaming. So when we heard
about Where's My Perry? we were instantly interested. I could tell at E3
2012 that Where's My Perry? is the real deal. Perry the Platypus picks
up where Swampy left off. Plus Phineas and Ferb are huge right now. So
pairing up the two makes perfect sense.
I miss the little rubber duckies. The gnomes in Where's My Perry? are
okay, but the rubber duckies were really cool. Anyways the graphics look
about the same, except there are some mild animation after an entire
world is completed. Right now there are four worlds with twenty levels
each in them. There are also eight secret levels. That brings us to
eighty-eight levels at launch.
I have tri-ducked all of Where's My Water?, and now I have tri-gnomed
all of Where's My Perry?. If you do not know what I am talking about
then you will have to play this iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad/Android video
game. It means all three of the duckies or gnomes have been gotten in
every single level, and the secret levels have been beaten. There are
other achievements in Where's My Perry? but few of them impress me as
much as tri-ducking, and tri-gnoming.
The sounds in Where's My Perry? are very good, especially the voice
clips. I do need to let parents know of one thing in Where's My Perry?.
The evil Dr Doofenshmirtz who is more of a klutz than anything else does
say: "Curse you Perry the Platypus!" He does not actually curse, but
will say that from time to time. The majority of the voices in Where's
My Perry? are hilarious.
Where's My Perry? tells us that additional free levels will be coming. I
hope it includes as many as Where's My Water? did, but that may be a bit
too much to expect. I will wait and see what Disney Mobile does here.
What I do know for sure is they are on one amazing roll right now.
Where's My Perry? is going to be a mega-hit.
The game play mechanic in Where's My Perry? are awesome. I have turned
into a bit of an expert on this game thanks to all the time I spent on
Where's My Water?. I have already helped others complete levels they
were stuck on. The ice, water, and heating up the water add some neat
game play mechanics.
I am not that thrilled with the secret levels in Where's My Perry?.
Guiding a balloon through a level just feels really lame. This is the
only aspect of Where's My Perry? that I am not in love with. There has
to be something right? I do like getting to read the secret files on the
various characters in Where's My Perry? though. That is a wonderful
bonus, and a real encouragement to find all the files.
Disney Mobile has another hit on their hands with Where's My Perry? on
the hand helds. I am very blessed that I was able to play and review
this game before it hit the street. I can foresee millions downloading,
and enjoying Where's My Perry? in the coming months. What are you
waiting for? Time to tri-gnome all of the levels in Where's My Perry?.
