The Bluecoats North vs South

Microids is letting gamers fight out the Civil War. We are able to play the North or the South in The Bluecoats North vs South. We can stop the Confederates from exercising their legal state's right to secede from the Union. Or we can play the Confederates and battle back the evil oppressive federal government.

The Bluecoats North vs South does not get down to the nitty-gritty details. We do not have to manage troops, feed them, capture train lines and all that. Terrain rarely plays a role in The Bluecoats North vs South either. This game is like Risk. There are states that we can capture for our side. The forts are the key to winning The Bluecoats North vs South. Every fort you have will grant you a bag of gold at the start of your turn. As long as you have two. Three bags of gold buys a new battalion. So its pretty easy to see how to win in The Bluecoats North vs South.

There are two mini games in The Bluecoats North vs South that must be mastered for victory. First off is the army battle screens. We start with troops on foot, horse soldiers, and two cannons. We decide which to use to attack the enemy troops. We can win a battle, lose a battle, watch the enemy retreat, or retreat ourselves.

The second mini game in The Bluecoats North vs South is attacking or defending a fort. In this mini game we have a soldier with so many hearts. There are multiple hiding places the enemies hide behind. Things like barrels, wagons, and more. When they come out we can shoot them. They fall away after being shot. We can hide with our soldier. If we get shot more times than our hearts then we lose. If we get all of them we win.

There is some violence in The Bluecoats North vs South. I did not see any blood or gore though. Troops may lay on the ground for a few seconds after they have died. The graphics in The Bluecoats North vs South are soft, and alive with color. The music in The Bluecoats North vs South is fantastic. I felt very patriotic playing The Bluecoats North vs South.

The strategy in The Bluecoats North vs South can be very interesting. Games can be short or last a long time. Be careful of the Mexicans and Indians in The Bluecoats North vs South. They will kill troops in territories next to them. The light house is a good space to conquer since every so often we will get reinforcements there.
