TANK TANK TANK

I had to do some research to find out that TANK! TANK! TANK! was an arcade game from a few years ago. Which makes perfect sense after I played it on the Wii U. TANK! TANK! TANK! feels like an arcade game. It looks like an arcade game, and it sounds like an arcade game. You know what they say: "if it walks like a duck, and talks like a duck it must be a duck.

The concept in TANK! TANK! TANK! is very simple. There are robotic giant monsters attacking the city. It is up to the player to blow them all to bits with their tanks. This is simple to do with the Wii U Gamepad and the Wii Remotes. Thankfully there is more to TANK! TANK! TANK! than the single player story mode.

I was not expecting TANK! TANK! TANK! to be such a fun multiplayer game. There are a variety of different modes. The one that will get the most attention is My Kong Mode. In this mode one family member becomes the monster and the rest try to bring them down. It is three on one, but totally in favor of the one.

TANK! TANK! TANK! has a really neat player identification. We pick a helmet (which may consist of say an eye patch and a mustache), and the Wii U Gamepad takes a picture of that player. Their face icon is over their tank so players can always see who they are targeting. I like this feature quite a bit.

Beating a level with a tank in story mode grants the player a medal. Medals can also be earned in certain multiplayer modes. These are used to unlock levels and new tanks. Part of the fun of TANK! TANK! TANK! is to see the interesting power ups. Some of them do massive destruction.

TANK! TANK! TANK! is a violent game. We blow up each other and monsters. We can also demolish entire city blocks. I leveled more than one city in TANK! TANK! TANK!. The text from computer controlled characters during story mode is very helpful. Their advice can help anyone become a better player.

We enjoyed some great quality time thanks to TANK! TANK! TANK!. We also got a laugh or two out of the different pictures we took with the headgear. TANK! TANK! TANK! is a quirky little title that is best played with three to four people.
