Pilot Brothers
SCORE: 77
Pilot Brothers is one of those interactive
games. We have two characters who interact with objects in different
ways. So a major part of Pilot Brothers is finding the exact step by
step process to complete a screen. We may need one character to break
down a wall, and another one to release the bird.
Pilot Brothers feels like a Personal Computer game to me. This is no
surprise since the iPad has been the new home of many PC games. Pilot
Brothers has a story book look to it. The art style looked pretty poor
to me at first. But after a couple of levels it started to grow on me.
Certain characters will have mild animations.
I did research on Pilot Brothers, and found it is similar to Gobliins,
and Gobliins 2. Fans of those franchises will be interested in Pilot
Brothers. From the official G5 Entertainment game page: "A provincial
Russian town has been shaken in disbelief: their prized, rare, striped
elephant, Baldakhin, disappeared from the zoo in the dead of night. The
main suspect is its notorious former owner, Karbofoss. Two well-known
detectives, the Pilot Brothers, set up a new investigation, pursuing the
rogue through 15 comic-style locations to find the missing elephant.
Sensible Brother Chief and his not-so-bright assistant, Brother
Colleague, solve tricky puzzles and play their parts with precise timing
in this humorous adventure game for the whole family! "
Pilot Brothers has two important features families will be interested
in. There is a hint which will highlight which brother and which object
should be interacted with next. This hint feature is not always helpful
though. At times I had already tried this combination with no results.
The other feature is a movie button that shows how much of the screen
has been completed.
If you let a child play Pilot Brothers, expect to be asked to assist
them. Pilot Brothers can be confusing at times. It also has its moments
of humor. A hippo plugging a hole with his behind, or a cat chasing away
a bird are a few examples. I enjoyed the music in Pilot Brothers because
it gives this game a circus feel to it. Which is how I took the two
brothers.
