Over the past few years numerous video
game companies have been paying homage to their franchises by going back
to its roots. But adding a new flavor or flair to it along the way.
Frogger Hyper Arcade Edition is a classic example of this. This
Playstation 3/Xbox 360 video game returns Frogger to its roots. It does
so with style, and a major graphical overhaul.
The distinctive look to Frogger Hyper Arcade Edition is not the only
part of the overhaul. The retro sounds add all kinds of depth. In fact
while I was playing Frogger Hyper Arcade Edition I had just as much fun
exploring the music as the various game play modes. There are numerous
ways to play Frogger Hyper Arcade Edition as well.
My first born son came over to see what I was playing (because of the
awesome techno music), and he thought it was Tron. That is one of the
looks we can play in Frogger Hyper Arcade Edition. Konami also pays
respects to other franchises in their stable (Dance Dance Revolution and
Castlevania stuck out). We get to choose which graphical style we use in
the majority of the modes in Frogger Hyper Arcade Edition.
I have a couple of songs in Frogger Hyper Arcade Edition that I love to
listen to over and over again. They are so much fun, and totally alive.
Even people not into techno music enjoyed the infectious music in
Frogger Hyper Arcade Edition. One of the goals we can have in certain
levels is to save the female frogs. This was my personal favorite
activity.
At ten dollars the price of Frogger Hyper Arcade Edition is reasonable.
There are enough modes in Frogger Hyper Arcade Edition that families
will be busy for a few weeks. Achievements are another part of this home
console downloadable video game. Up to four family members can enjoy
Frogger Hyper Arcade Edition at the same time.
Some of the modes in Frogger Hyper Arcade Edition are insane. Twin Frogs
is the most difficult mode I have ever played in any Frogger video game.
Painting and tiles are extremely entertaining modes. The Battle Royal
mode is okay. Frogs can get squashed in Frogger Hyper Arcade Edition in
a variety of manners.
I really like Frogger Hyper Arcade Edition. There are some games that
make an instant positive impression. The music and visuals of Frogger
Hyper Arcade Edition are what sealed the deal for me. I hope Konami
continues this trend with other franchises in their stable. It was a
real pleasure for me to play and review Frogger Hyper Arcade Edition.
