Conan the Adventurer Season Two Part 2
SCORE: 68
Conan's quest to free his parents from
being turned into living stone continues in Conan the Adventurer Season
Two Part 2. He faces off against Wrath-Amon and his evil snake-men.
Thankfully for Conan he has star medal which can send the snake-men into
the abyss. Unfortunately they always seem to be enough of them to
dispatch.
Conan the Adventurer Season Two Part 2 contains magic on both sides.
Magic is how he frees his grand father from the living stone, and what
he generally seeks to free his parents. There is less of an emphasis in
Conan the Adventurer Season Two Part 2 on revenge. More on finding
something to free his parents. There are episodes where Wrath-Amon or
other evil characters set traps for Conan.
Conan the Adventurer Season Two Part 2 can be a little deceiving. The
name of these two DVDs makes me think we are getting part of a season.
Yet there are thirteen episodes on Conan the Adventurer Season Two Part
2. Which is generally considered a season for an animated show. At least
now-a-days. Consider that as you ponder a possible purchase.
I checked the price of Conan the Adventurer Season Two Part 2 on Amazon
and it is comparable to seasons of other cartoon television shows. The
action gets fast and furious in Conan the Adventurer Season Two Part 2.
We do not get introduced to many characters. Most of them are return
engagements.
The stories in Conan the Adventurer Season Two Part 2 are stand alone.
In fact they can be watched in any order without causing any confusion.
While this is nice if you want to mix things up, it is not so great if
you are looking for a continuous storyline. I felt like any solution
could just pop up out of nowhere to save his parents. But something
always gets in the way. In this regard Conan the Adventurer Season Two
Part 2 strings the viewer along.
Needle calls Conan dumb quite often. The theme song got stuck in my
head, and it explains what is going on in the show. Remember his parents
and the living stone thing? That is the goal of the show - to save them.
Along the way Conan saves quite a few other people. We also learn
something shocking about Conan's past and how it related to Atlantis.
