Coco Loco

We work with hundreds of companies here at Family Friendly Gaming. Routinely we get asked what catches our eye. What grabs our attention. First and foremost are advertisements. We pay close attention to any product that advertises with us. Right behind that is swag. Companies that give us products related to games always catches our attention.

What does that have to do with Coco Loco? Chillingo was kind enough to provide us some related content to Coco Loco. A coffee cup, some decorated marshmallows, and some hot cocoa. That gift brought a smile to our faces. It also piqued our curiosity. What was Coco Loco about? What did it have to do with marshmallows and hot cocoa? After playing Coco Loco I now know those answers.

These marshmallow characters have a yearning to take a dip in some hot cocoa. Sadly they get captured by the nasty chocolate guards. So it is up to you to save them. This is done by swinging your bat at one of the marshmallow characters. At this point Coco Loco is a lot like Angry Birds. There is one major difference though. We are saving the marshmallows not destroying pigs. Routinely the goal is to get the marshmallows into the hot cocoa.

The music in Coco Loco is very cute. It fits the theme and made me want to go inhale some marshmallows. I know I am trying to save them, but they are so just good looking. Expect major variety in the characters, and their skills. A sumo can smash down through things, a ninja can slice through things, and there is an exploding one. TNT barrels are also in the levels and can be the best way to solve certain levels.

There are four major zones in Coco Loco. Each zone contains fifteen levels. So currently there are sixty levels in Coco Loco. I expect more will be added in the future. The physics in Coco Loco are awesome. Certain levels contain guidelines to help the player. I enjoyed playing Coco Loco, and ate up level after level.

I love the characters and concepts in Coco Loco. I know Angry Birds is a big thing to a lot of people. I believe Coco Loco is better than Angry Birds. The storyline, characters, and concepts are a notch above it. I learned various lessons about physics and how much marshmallows enjoy being in hot cocoa. Chillingo has a mega hit in Coco Loco.
