Beeing

I like Beeing. I need to be completely upfront about that. I like this app. It is a cute little title on the iPhone/iPod Touch, and iPad. Beeing may not be the first bee related game we have reviewed here at Family Friendly Gaming. But it is one of the best one. We fly a bee to pick up his friends. There are things in our way like crickets, bug eating plants and more.

The cute graphical style in Beeing appeals to all ages of the family. The graphical style in Beeing reminds me of Claymation. That is a good thing too. I don't mean that as an insult or anything. I like the art style in Claymation. Your little bee can take damage, but it is short lived usually. This same life bar slowly drains away while going through the level. This can be replenished by flying through small bits of honey.

Bees can be frightening creatures. Especially if they get close to you, and you can hear them. It is even worse for people with allergic reactions to them. Thankfully Beeing does not invoke any of those frightening and/or life threatening thoughts. Instead the music in Beeing is soothing, and mellow. I could play Beeing for hours based on how relaxing the music is.

The controls in Beeing are extremely simple. There is a gauge on the right side and our bee is on the left side. Go up on the gauge to bring the bee up, and go down to make it go down. Fly over the honey, and avoid the obstacles to keep your health bar up. The down side to Beeing is if you make too many mistakes or if you miss too much honey.

Players need to be aware of one simple thing in Beeing. There are three friends we are trying to save. Beeing can be challenging at times, but I found it to be a fun game to play. I enjoyed all of the levels in story mode, and appreciate the survival mode. Collecting all of the bees can be difficult, but it feels so rewarding.
