Sushi Bar Express
SCORE: 86
Xing Interactive continues their good
streak of entertaining puzzlers with Sushi Bar Express. This is an
inexpensive PC puzzle game that is fast paced and entertaining. In Sushi
Bar Express gamers start by learning Sushi recipes and techniques from
the Sushi Master. In starting out as a small time Sushi chef, the goal
is to satisfy your customers and make the best sushi possible, but to do
it all as quickly as possible.
As you improve you skills new equipment will be necessary to meet the
demands of your customers. This is where practice and multi-tasking is
going to come in handy. While your character is cutting the fish or
shrimp, you will need to go ahead and pour the soup and get other items
ready. Of course customer satisfaction is important and “hearts” under
their order tracks it. If the food prep is too slow, the customer will
leave and your profit goal will is then in jeopardy.
A map is used to track your progress through the various levels. The map
and other menu screens are user friendly and easy to navigate. The
presentation is well done. I really enjoyed the cartoony style used to
depict the sushi bar setting. Gameplay is easy to learn, but challenging
to master. Sushi Bar Express is very similar to a previous Xing
Interactive game Pizza Deliciozo, and gamers that enjoyed that title
will definitely want to check out Sushi Bar Express.
Parents will be able to review various life lessons with their children
when playing Sushi Bar Express. Once such lesson could be about listen
to the adults / mentors in your life. And how their advice can help you
achieve your goals. I really enjoyed playing through this game and I am
sure those that enjoy a good puzzler will enjoy it as well.
