Sasuke vs Commander
SCORE: 67
I will lay all the cards on the table. I am not impressed with Sasuke
vs Commander. It is a shooter where the screen stays stable. The player
can move their character to the left and to the right. Things come from
the top of the screen down towards the character at the bottom. At some
point in video game history this was considered the height of
technology. Obviously advancements have spoiled me across the decades.
The images remind me of games on the Atari 2600. Maybe slightly better.
But then Sasuke vs Commander is a very old game. Normally I have some
sort of happy nostalgia. And no not the Nintendo DS video game. There
are a few colors used in Sasuke vs Commander, but most of it is pretty
bleak. The sounds in Sasuke vs Commander are also very dated. The beeps,
boops, and bops can become addicting over time.
Sasuke vs Commander can be played, and played, and then played some
more. Then you might actually make it to the second level. Yes I am
being sarcastic. Sasuke vs Commander is one of the most difficult retro
games I have ever played. I am dismayed that as a child I spent so many
hours on games like Sasuke vs Commander. I came away from it with little
to show for it. Unless you count my sarcastic nature. Which has helped
me doing video game reviews. Aaaah the circle of video game of life.
There is not much to do in Sasuke vs Commander. Move left and move
right. Oh I almost forgot you can shoot things. Sort of like Space
Invaders without the protection, and the enemies have annoying patterns.
If you are into this kind of retro action then you will have fun. I did
not enjoy my time with Sasuke vs Commander.
The shooting violence is one concern families will have in terms of
Sasuke vs Commander. There is a definite eastern flavor to Sasuke vs
Commander. I appreciate it when companies release older games on newer
consoles. Well as long as they don't do it all the time (meaning on
every console). The problem with Sasuke vs Commander for me is it shows
its age. The flaws for older games like Sasuke vs Commander are shining
through. If you are into these kinds of games, please continue to enjoy
them.
