Real Heroes Firefighter

I purchased Real Heroes Firefighter for the Wii recently, and was eager to play, and review it. Players take on the role of a rookie firefighter. You goal is to complete the missions assigned to you. I highly recommend going through the tutorial. Some of the controls can be a little touchy. Although the one thing you will really need to know how to do is point the hose at the fire. There are mini missions along the way like turn off the electricity to an area. I learned the hard way what happens when you spray water on the electrical current. Yes I should have thought before I sprayed. You may be laughing, but many of ya’ll will make the same mistake.

The graphics in Real Heroes Firefighter are really good in terms of the fire. The fire in this game behaves very realistically. The damage the fire does is also very realistic. The human characters in Real Heroes Firefighter look okay. This is the Wii after all so we may be expecting a bit much in terms of the people. I would have liked them to look a wee bit more realistic.

The directions in Real Heroes Firefighter is fantastic. Players are given instructions in a verbal manner to add to the realism. I noticed Real Heroes Firefighter told me what to do, and how to avoid problems in the next area. Failure to listen will lead to problems. Remember that whole electricity and water thing? I was not listening, and my poor firefighter got a real jolt out of it. The music in is good, and got me pumped to play this Wii game.

Real Heroes Firefighter is long enough to keep most gamers busy for a week or two. After you complete the game I really see few reasons to replay it. I feel that I got my money’s worth out of Real Heroes Firefighter. Only one player can play this Wii game at a time. It would have been nice if there had been some multiplayer mode so two players can work together to put out the fires.

Real Heroes Firefighter tries to spice things up by having you do more than spray fires with water. Unfortunately this Wii game gets boring after awhile. Not only that, but the controls can be a little loose, and that led to camera issues. I ended every game play session from Real Heroes Firefighter with a headache.

After playing Real Heroes Firefighter I have more of an appreciation for the job firefighters do. I also like how the majority of this game is stopping fires, saving people, and saving property. I would love to see sequels to this game in the future, especially if the controls are tweaked, and multiplayer is added. The coolest thing about this home console game is a portion of the proceeds go to the Firefighter Cancer Support Network. It was my pleasure to play and review Real Heroes Firefighter.
