Might and Magic Clash of Heroes

I can not recall who recommend Might & Magic Clash of Heroes to me. It may have been one of our friends at E3 2010. I am grateful to whomever it was, and apologize for not giving you full credit. Remind me and I will give you a shout out. This Nintendo DS game is part three match puzzle game, and part role playing. Players match up three of the same kind, and then they attack the enemies on the other screen. Each side has a life bar which goes up as they level up. Different characters are playable and level up the better they do in each fight. Three across build defenses while three vertical prime an upcoming attack. There are larger creatures which can do a lot more damage, but they take more time to charge up.

The visuals in Might & Magic Clash of Heroes are a lot better than I was expecting. The special effects are fantastic, and this hand held game has a lot of them. Characters vanish when they are attacked and the attacker has more power than they have defense. There are female characters in this game who need more clothing. That is one of the things that bring this game down.

The core of Might & Magic Clash of Heroes is the player is trying to stop invading demons. The demons are very disturbing, and murder as many as they can. Various characters have differing motives, as well as restraints on their language. There are language issues in Might & Magic Clash of Heroes like the ESRB noted. The music is majestic, and fits the theme of this game perfectly.

Might & Magic Clash of Heroes includes single card download play, and multicard download play for up to two family members. The story is long, and there are numerous side quests that can be performed. I spent my own money on Might & Magic Clash of Heroes, and feel it was well spent.

The controls in Might & Magic Clash of Heroes are great if you use the D-pad and buttons. Touch screen controls are present, but I found them to be a pain. The strategy involved in Might & Magic Clash of Heroes is fantastic. I was constantly tweaking my team with various items to find the right combination for a particular battle. Certain battles like not hitting one guy on the screen really kept me on my toes.

Might & Magic Clash of Heroes teaches us to fight off the bad guys. Although I am not sure the heroes in Might & Magic Clash of Heroes are any better than the bad guys in how they treat them. Evil should be completely vanquished is another lesson in Might & Magic Clash of Heroes. I hope there are sequels to this DS game in the future.
