Mays Mystery Forbidden Memories

May's Mystery Forbidden Memories on the Nintendo DS is the same style of game as the Professor Layton games. This is a puzzle game where there are a wide array of different kinds of puzzles. The player goes on a quest as May searches for her missing brother. Along the way she learns the secrets of the city of Dragonville. There are forty unique characters, and two hundred and seventy challenges in May's Mystery Forbidden Memories.

The screens in May's Mystery Forbidden Memories vary. There are anime like movie clips shown throughout the game. The main characters have an odd look to them, but I learned to adapt to them. The puzzles vary. Some have very small graphics, and others are larger. May's Mystery Forbidden Memories does include some light violence in it.

The music in May's Mystery Forbidden Memories is moody. It fits the theme of this hand held title. I enjoyed the suspense the May's Mystery Forbidden Memories provides when it was deciding if I had a puzzle right or not. This was amplified when I was not sure if I had entered the right answer or not.

The storyline kept me engaged from start until finish. The price of May's Mystery Forbidden Memories is extremely reasonable for the amount of content. Especially when you consider some of the mini games are rhythmic. Family Friendly Gaming was provided a reviewable copy for this review. After completing May's Mystery Forbidden Memories you will feel like you accomplished something major.

I see one difference between the Professor Layton games and May's Mystery Forbidden Memories. Normally the puzzles make sense in Professor Layton. I ran into puzzles in May's Mystery Forbidden Memories that made no sense to me whatsoever. I could go and do bonus puzzles to earn more hint points though. The hints are very helpful in May's Mystery Forbidden Memories.

May's Mystery Forbidden Memories is clear at every single point where the player needs to go next. If you try and do the wrong thing it will let you know that you really need to go over to this other place first. I like games that clearly communication my objectives. May's Mystery Forbidden Memories is definitely one such game.

There are some unsavory characters in May's Mystery Forbidden Memories. The main character is on a wonderful quest to find her brother. I appreciate the theme of family in May's Mystery Forbidden Memories. I also appreciate how the puzzles in this Nintendo DS game will help family members look at problems from different angles.

Red Wagon Games has a hit on their hands with May's Mystery Forbidden Memories. I hope to see sequels in the near future. It was a real pleasure for me to play and review May's Mystery Forbidden Memories.
