Lingo Zoo

Mindshapes has been making quite a name
for themselves here at Family Friendly Gaming. Lingo Zoo is their latest
app that we are reviewing. This is a jigsaw puzzle game for children.
The jigsaw puzzles include few pieces, and they go to animals. Children
will put together a lion, eagle, hippo, elephant, ant, and more. Once
that is done Lingo Zoo will say the name of the animal in two languages.
The animals will also make their animal sounds.
The graphics in Lingo Zoo are cute, bright, and approachable for
children. Each and every single animal in Lingo Zoo is happy and
smiling. This brings an upbeat, and positive feel to the images in this
hand held title. Children love the art work in Lingo Zoo. I myself
appreciated the artistic talent it took to create the environments and
the animals.
Have you ever heard me complain about hearing certain sounds over and
over again? Lingo Zoo has this in spades. Children will happily make the
animals roar at you over and over again. Mothers can get frazzled. The
kids however are learning, and loving every single minute of it. The
music in Lingo Zoo is also very good. I was not expecting that, but a
lot of work went into the high production value of this title.
There are seven worlds or regions in Lingo Zoo. Each of these regions
has five animals. Complete all five animals in one world to unlock the
next one. Once you have completed all thirty-five animals, you can wipe
it clean and do them again. After that there are few reasons to replay
Lingo Zoo. I do believe children will get your moneys worth out of this
app.
I adore how forgiving Lingo Zoo is. Too many jigsaw puzzle games need
the pieces to be exactly over the spot. Since we use our fingers to move
the pieces around that can be difficult. Thankfully Lingo Zoo will pop
it into place if you get it close. I did notice one odd thing while
playing Lingo Zoo. I would press on a piece and start to drag it, but it
had not registered my touching the piece. This happened from time to
time.
The biggest drain on Lingo Zoo is the loading times. Children were not
always patient while waiting for the game to load the next puzzle, or go
back to a previous screen. Children can learn the animals, the sounds
they make, and their names in more than one language. I feel very
blessed to have been able to play and review Lingo Zoo. Mindshapes
continues to improve upon their craft.
